Towards a Smart Connected World


Celtic-Plus is an industry-driven European research initiative to define, perform and finance through public and private funding common research projects in the area of telecommunications, new media, future Internet, and applications & services focusing on a new "Smart Connected World" paradigm. Celtic-Plus is a EUREKA ICT cluster and is part of the inter-governmental EUREKA network.

Celtic-Plus is open to any type of company covering the Celtic-Plus research areas, large industry as well as small companies or universities and research organisations.

Celtic-Plus e-health project HIPERMED won the prestigious EUREKA Innovation Award at the EUREKA Innovation Event in Basel on 19 November 2014. Celtic-Plus Autumn Call

8 proposals for very interesting projects have been received

The proposals are now being evaluated by independent experts, mostly from industry. Based on the evaluations the involved Public Authorities and the Celtic Core Group will decide which proposals get the Celtic-Plus Label. In the last week of November the submitters will be informed about the results.

On 25 June Celtic-Plus organised another Proposers' Day as an opportunity to present project ideas to potential project experts and to discuss the for building a consortium.

Celtic-Plus run its annual Event from 23 and 24 April 2014 at Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. A co-located exhibition area highlighted synergies and offered new insights between Celtic-Plus research projects and the ready for market solutions and use cases presented at WIMA  The Celtic-Plus Event was hosted by The Principality of Monaco.
